CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES AND GROUPS FOR 2009:
All Classes are run per the 2009 International Kart Federation rule book, except as noted below.
01. Kid Kart – IKF Competition Rules, Championship class
02. Novice Cadet – Combined Jr.1, HPV1, and Rookie Sportsman, Non Championship class
03. Junior 1 Cadet – Championship class
04. HPV 1 Cadet – Championship class
05. HPV 2 Jr – Championship class
06. HPV 4 Jr – Championship class
07. HPV 4 Sr – Championship class
08. HPV 4 Plus – Championship class. Drivers over 190lbs. or age 30 up
09. IKF TAG – Championship class
10. IKF TAG Masters – Championship class. +30- Lbs above IKF TAG weights. (Drivers over age 30)
11. Sr and Jr World Formula – Championship Classes, Jr. = 325 Lbs. Sr. = 390 Lbs
NOTE: for the July, Aug, and Sept dates @ Cal Speed, Tri-C will add LAKC’s classes to the list above.
SPEC FUEL/OIL: VP MS 98 for non Rotax 2-cycle classes with 8oz Burris Red Label Castor per gallon of fuel. Rotax engines use VP MS 93 Fuel with Motul 800 oil mixed @ 4 oz of Oil per gallon of fuel. MS 98 for 4 Cycles.
SPEC TIRES: Bridgestone YHC’s for all classes except, TAG and TAG Masters may use the Bridgestone YHC, Mojo D-2, Burris B44A, Burris B55A, or MG Yellow. 
CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES – AWARDS
Drivers in championship classes compete for season championship trophies and a share of year-end awards. Drivers in championship classes may drop one race from their points total. A maximum of 8 races plus 200 points for working an event will count towards year end points. Drivers in ALL championship classes must compete in a minimum of 6 of the 10 club races dates and work (or pay instead of working) 1 Tri-C event (Club race, IKF race, Cal State Champ, etc) to be eligible for year-end awards. Non championship class drivers do not need to work to be eligible for year end awards..
OTHER EVENTS
In addition to the club events, Tri-C will host a Region 7 event April 3-5, at Grange’ Motor Circuit and the California State Championships November 27-29, location TBA
